So Liana charged me with chronicling our Potter in the Park experience, and far be it from me to disappoint when it comes to Harry Potter!
Oh my god it was so much fun. We trivia'd all OVER Disneyland. Costumes were had, alliances were formed, people who didn't give a crap about Harry Potter were forced to participate, it was great!  And we lost pretty hard.  Go team S.P.E.W!
Oh, and the Backstreet Boys just happened to be there that day, so basically every pubescent fantasy I ever had came true.

My focus needs more focus

On the list of things I am bad at, near the very top is "Working From Home".  It's been a slow two weeks work-wise, and I've been trying to so some of my own storyboards to liven up the ol' portfolio. Needless to say, it's going very very slowly. In any sort of work environment, I am CAPTAIN FOCUS. I use my laser eyes to slice through challenging projects like a Cyclops of DILIGENCE. But at home I sit down to work and three hours later I find I've drank four cups of coffee, checked tumblr 8 times, and stacked all of my comic books on to the cat. And drawn zero things.
Anyways, these are things I've been doodling in between actually accomplishing things.

This one was inspired by Journey for the PS3, which I played last week and it was EXCELLENT. Very short, but very pretty, and actually pretty damn touching! Also, a little bit of the stage production of the Lion King is in there, which I saw in November. Good stuff!

Avatar Family Vacation

Noooooooo, Korra season one is OVER! What will I have to nerd out about now??  Anyways, decided to channel my nerdiness into a drawing of Aang and Katara bringing wee Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya to the Southern Air temple for vacay. Tenzin gets in touch with his air bender roots!

Great Escape

Finished the first John Carter book. Can't say it was great, but it was fun!  And I'm really into drawing nekkid people adventuring right now so that's what you get. It's not my fault everybody in that book was in their birthday suits!  But I put John Carter in a loin cloth cuz nobody wants to see that nonsense flopping around. Also my mom reads this blog. HI MOM.
And for those not familiar with the series, the purple thing down there is Woola, John Carter's hideous martian gaurd-beast. I want one <3

A Princess of Mars

John Carter of Mars

Just started the John Carter book series. Gotta say the character in the books is way better than the movie! In the movie he's just sort of a jerk but in the books he's a considerate, thoughtful southern gentlemen. Except when he's bashing in Martian heads.

Did a few days of work DOWNTOWN for the first time this week. Downtown LA is a frenetic place. Also, I hate one-way streets. Utter nonsense, that is. Anyways, I drew this in the morning while waiting for revisions.

 We watched Zombie Strippers starring Jenna Jameson the other day. It was...something. 

Did an art night with a few people. Lane was drawing Zombie kids and I had to get in on that action!

Fun in the Sun!

 Summer has officially arrived! Spent Memorial day at the beach and it was pretty rad.

Joanna dunked me! It's not like I'm afraid of the ocean or anything its just...it's COLD in there!

James could not play with us in the water, because he just had laser eye surgery. But its okay, he has laser eyes now!

And the other night I had wicked insomnia, which never happens to me. So I drew this to pass the time. Of course this would only happen when I have to get up at 6 AM! >:(

Margerie Arcade

So, my buddy Seth made up this Post-apocalyptic zombie-slaying lady named Margerie Arcade, who gets rid of your zombie problem for a fee. It was PRETTY bad-ass, and if I recall correctly at one point she goes to the MOON. Anyways I was thinking of that concept and how cool it would be if she lived in a burnt out building in the hollywood hills and killed zombies in Los Angeles and had a sweet undercut and an ambiguous racial background.
